You're welcome. It was a bit tough to read, saw the A. Zappa on there, but then noticed the right date and said "son of" on top of A. Zappa.

Warren Scoggins photo request
Hi Sarah,

I hope you are well. I see where you have requested a photo of Warren Scoggins # 75801985. I am curious of you know anything about this location? I believe it is a on private property in the woods. I am will end up driving by it in the next couple months and will stop and see if that is the case and report back. Just wanted to see if you had any information on the property it is on. I see you live in the UK but didn't want to assume things.

Thanks, Lori

Frank Zappa tombstone photo request
I see you have a photo request for St. Anthony Cemetery in Cumberland Wisconsin.
You can get photos of tombstones from St. Anthony Church Cemetery at:
900 St. Anthony Street
Cumberland, Wisconsin

Here you'll find photographs of all of the tombstones located at St. Anthony Abbot Cemetery in Cumberland, Wisconsin. Originally the list contained individuals of Italian descent, but now, all tombstones are shown.

The cemetery contains markers as early as the mid-1890's. It is located next to St. Anthony Abbot Catholic church which is located in a rural setting about two miles south of the city of Cumberland. It is on the northeast corner of the intersection of County Road P (1st Ave.) and St. Anthony Street (21-1/2 Ave.).

All descendants of Italians connected to Cumberland, Shell lake, Spooner, Hudson and Western Wisconsin are invited to CIAO 2016. 9/10 at the St. Anthony Church Center. Noon till 5PM. Potluck (dish to share) Free will donation to the Church. Beverages will be available for purchase. Family displays are welcome. Slide show. Door prizes (we need donations). Also prizes for various categories: oldest, youngest, furthest away etc. Questions or to RSVP:

Amelia McCudden
Hello Sarah,
I went into Kingston upon Thames Cemetery this afternoon to try and locate and photograph for you the Grave of the late Amelia McCudden (Grave number: C1953 in Section22), but unfortunately could not locate it. The section is in a very old part of the Cemetery where a lot of the Graves are no longer readable or have returned to nature.
If you have any other details which you could let me have which may assist me in locating the Grave, I am quite happy to go back and have another go in locating the Grave for you.
I am just sorry that I have been unable to help you on this occasion.
Kind Regards

RE: Andrew Sweet
You're welcome, not a problem. :)

If it's of any consolation, I do know that there are volunteer groups currently going around Johnston performing maintenance and rehab at the historic cemeteries. Often they will look for fragments of stones and try to piece them back together, or partially remake them. I'm not sure of the specifics, but keep a watch for possible photos in the future.

Another good resource to know (if you don't already) is the RIHCC. Here's a link to Andrew's page:

happy upcoming birthday!
I am about 50 weeks younger than you. When my birthday comes around, I remember yours. It's a built-in reminder. Cool, huh?

shows: John BARNES, Vernon Roy GRUMBLEY, Alice KENNEDY, Barry HOWARD, and Sarah Elizabeth BARNES as being interred in Consecrated section E55.

Barry HOWARD buried 6 May 1944 Consecrated E55

However, the online records do contain errors. I will look at the film of the burial register at the library.

Chris Doran
Photo Request for Alan Clarke, 1945
Regrettably, he is one of a number of people placed in the wrong cemetery when WW2 memorials were created in bulk. He is actually at Grove Park, opposite the Service personnel screen wall if I remember rightly. I have a photograph, but I think I'm supposed to wait until the memorial is moved before uploading it. I have SACCed for the move, and keep you posted of progress.

Regards, Chris

Daniel Pelka's headstone lists him as having died on July 15, 2007. You can read the story and see the stone, here:

RE: Daniel Pelka
Thank you Sarah, l agree with everything you say. Daniel should not be denied the little bit of attention he now gets and with 2 memorials he'll get double, it's the least he deserves.
Like you l was heartbroken when l heard what had happened to him and so angry that so many people
had failed him. I actually live in Coventry and l only wish l'd come into contact with him and could've helped him.

Bless you for caring,

Daniel Pelka
Hi Sarah

l've just found out that we've both made memorials to Daniel and it appears that we made them on the same day. l did run a check on his name before l did it and nothing came up so l went ahead with it. This only came to light today when somebody gave me the name of the cemetery he's buried in. l'm not really sure what to do. Although we made them on the same day, yours was the first because your memorial number is lower than mine but at the same time l don't really want to delete mine because Karen Lovey has sponsored it and Daniel has over 400 tokens. l'm not asking you to delete yours, l wondered if we could just keep both of them. l know we're not supposed to have duplicates but l have seen plenty of other memorials duplicated.

I see you have Dr Crippen in your virtual cemetery- he was once in the famous category; I have no idea why he was 'down-graded' and it is ridiculous that the wife he murdered, remains famous!
Crippen is so famous that in my childhood, his wax effigy was one of the highlights of Madame Tussauds!

RE: Linda Smith
OK-as there is a picture of the grave, I thought you knew.

I am sorry to say there are self-appointed 'findagrave police'-simply busybodies with nothing better to do than campaign for all memorials with no burial place specified, to be deleted. I have a few 'BURIAL UNKNOWNS' and these people have pestered me about them.
