thank you for sending edits.... OS dating dating errors happen with me some times.... especially if I am working past when I should.... I changed all but the year of birth.... it was the last month of the year of 1678...
Thanks so Much,
L

Kathryn Henry Wilson
John Cowgill 1665-1731 and Bridget Croasdale
Are you the person who said they have a copy of the certification for them leaving England and their marriage certificate? I am hoping so. John is my 7th great grandfather and his second wife Rachel Baker Bunting. I have just found this connection and would love a copy of any documents that you might have. As to the lineage... John and Rachael's son Henry (m. Mary Boulton), daughter Rachel (m. George Payne, a very hard line to find correct connections).

Sincerely, Kathryn Wilson

RE: William Garrat Memorial# 161233040
Good Morning,
I have only a few moments to write today... I really appreciate the time you have taken to write concerning this.
I know this is a complicated issue, and/but in general, I needed to keep it as simple as possible ;)
This is how I approach years such as 1726/27 (those 3 months when double dating applies)
1. When a person writing, in say 1726, they didn't know that was going to be happening in the future, so the date was the date.... I try to keep that in mind when making a memorial.
2. My understanding, from reading an article somewhere years ago, was double dating was used when transcribing older records as to show (people like us in the future) that they were accounting for the change in dating, so there wouldn't be confusion.
3. I saw what you wrote about the days being removed... but for me in seeing a day of the month of March ( ie the 5th) that I have seen it as the last few days of the year ( ie 1726) in this case of William.

Hopefully, most people will be happy that there family member was remembered, life accounted for and exact dates are a minor detail.... the nuances of double dating etc, can be accounted for in the Bio section, or with records, so they can record it from that as well.
There is probably more, but I have go to get going for now...
Blessings on Your Day,
L

Howdy :)
Thank for the edits for him.... I realize you may know more than I on this.... but this is my thought... would'nt it be still 1726.... my understanding is that March (25?), I think, is the beginning of the new calendar year.

I posted the Guilford Co. website to his memorial in the note section.
Blessings on Your Night,
L

Hey,
When I am feeling better, I will go in and write a better Bio... unless you would like to and I will post it ;) .... a long time ago, when I had to decide 'how' I was going to keep track of the dating styles, mainly Quaker, I picked a way that I would know without having to go back and double check, especially when I get edits etc.... Knowing that Quakers didn't like/use month names, I went with the numerical month... when I see 1/00/1700 I know it's March..... the FindaGrave field options, as you already know, don't allow for this... it may not work for everyone, but it has been very good for me. I did put a note and link address for Quaker dating on my wall....not that anyone has really noticed this, as I get edits quite a bit and I have to go over the whole thing again :)
Take Care and Thanks for Caring,
L

Sorry... I could have been more clear... I meant the edit you sent to me, would be declined, but I would add the converted date to memorial for passing.
For the last week, I have had 4 generations at my house (8 of them 9 yrs. and under) and only had minutes a day to try and go through the edits... I am currently down to 26 from 73 ;) I spent my minutes on him yesterday...

Please feel free to add any record directly to his memorial that would help for his birth... it's great to know this in the "here and now", but even more so for the future generations.
Thanks Again & Blessings,
L

hello,
Thanks for writing... I posted a few records for him on his memorial. I can note the converted date, but this edit will most likely get a declined for date.
Blessings on Your Day,

Kati McSweeney
John Cleaver of Bristol Twp.
Hi Claudia,

THANK YOU SO MUCH for reminding me that I need to update all my Levering ancestors and relatives that lived/died in Bristol Township in Philadelphia Co., PA.

I found out about the difference in the two townships (one in Philadelphia Co., one in Bucks Co.) some years ago, but I obviously haven't made all the corrections I need to at Find-A-Grave yet. Genealogy and family history: the NEVER-ENDING passions-LOL!

With your help, I've now corrected John and his wife's memorial pages! Thanks again!

Best Wishes,

Kati McSweeney in southern CA

Dear Friend,
Thank You for the edits concerning Thomas Kenderdine. Please view the memorial and noted that I gave you mention for your assistance. That is very interesting, concerning the dates prior to 1752. Thanks again. Sincerely, Philip Rupp

I made the page # correction. If you want to edit your bio for the memorial just send the entire bio reworked so I don't have to make the discreet changes my self. Less apt to make errors that way.
Thanks

Gee, I have no idea, unless Find A Grave has changed how it works. I know sometimes the "edits" I ask for happen promptly--as if the person managing the Memorial is on the computer when I send it. Other edits, take days if not weeks. Again, perhaps this is another change in the system.

RE: Sarah Molin, #87633654
Hi, I made the addition of birth year to Sarah Molin and linked her to her husband's Memorial page. But I am not able to add the birth year to Isaac Molin's Memorial page because I didn't set it up.

All you have to do is go to Isaac's Memorial page #131243222. In the upper right corner you will see an edit button, click it. You will see a line that says "Birth/death date, birth/death place", click it. Then just add the information and click "Submit Edit". An email will be sent to the person managing the Memorial page, and they can make the additions. Thanks so much.
