I am Deborah Ellen Gomez-Felder
(Maiden Name is Champeau).
I am the daughter of Eileen and Oliver J. Champeau. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI.
I lived with my grandmother (Mary Flaherty)Egan since I was one. My father and mother were divorced shortly after I was born. I did see my dad a great deal during my life. He was on the ships alot, but when he was home we spent alot of time together. I loved his laughter and the closeness that we shared. I learned so much from him. I was 17 years old when I was notified that he lost his life during a horrible storm in 1975. It was confirmed that he along with 28
other men had died on the Edmund Fitzgerald. My life and many others were altered forever.
I am married to Robert Felder for 19 years and I have 5 beautiful children who are all grown up now. I have a very wonderful daughter in law Erin, who I love. I have a beautiful grandson, Keegan,and a precious grandaughter named Kendall.
I am an only child and currently live in WI.
This is my cemetery where my dad lies at peace in my heart and soul. He is safe in my heart and his memory will always live on!!!!
