I am very blessed to have and be a part of Amish/Mennonite ancestors.

Doing genealogy has brought much happiness to my life and I take this very serious as it means a lot to me.

Finding and talking to extended family has been a great joy and I hope to find more to become acquainted with.

PLEASE ASK PERMISSION BEFORE USING PICTURES THAT I POST. I AM OK IF YOU COPY PICTURES OF STONES I HAVE POSTED BUT ANY OTHERS PLEASE CONTACT ME. I HAVE FOUND SOME ON OTHER SITES I HAVE NOT GIVEN PERMISSION FOR. PICTURES POSTED HERE ARE FOR FINDAGRAVE ONLY.

I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE THAT NO ONE ADS PHOTOS TO THE MEMORIALS I CREATE UNLESS THEY ARE CLOSELY RELATED OR HAVE FAMILY PERMISSION AS SOME PEOPLE DO NOT WISH TO HAVE FAMILY PHOTOS POSTED. PICTURES OF CEMETERY STONES ARE APPRECIATED. BEFORE ADDING PICTURES OTHER THAN CEMETERY STONES, PLEASE ASK BEFORE POSTING AND WHO IS PERMITTING THE USE OF THE PICTURES. THANK YOU...

If I have asked for a member to delete or merge a memorial because they have created a duplicate, it is because findagrave has told me in a personal email to send the request to the creator and in 30 days if they are not taken care of to forward my requests to them and they will resolve the issue. These have to be done individually so if a person has 50 plus duplicates they will have to accept that this is how it is to be done.

Although some are created with a pic of a stone and the names are added as a memorial and one hasn't passed on yet, findagrave does not recommend adding the person. They do not say DO NOT add them.

So if you add a memorial for a person who has just passed and one was created before they passed, you should contact the first creator and ask them delete it if its such a problem or ask for them to transfer it to you.

That way there wont be a duplicate which, like all of them, especially when some are linked to different members in the family, wont create chaos for people who take this serious. After all, these records are used by MANY big name companies, people and televised shows.

Forgive me if I have offended some by asking them to take care of their duplicates. Someone needs to take the time and do it when they come across the duplicates as it's obvious no one does it much. I think you should be grateful someone wants this to run as smoothly as possible so there are less problems for others.

By me saying please, thank you and have a Happy whatever Day, does not require ignorance or childish backlash on your part because I nicely asked.

Hopefully the 'findagrave police' will crack down on this and get to the bottom of it, but they will need the help of members who are working together to get all these unwanted and unneeded duplicates removed.
