|Steve Love||RE: Viola Lynch|
Patti, since we last communicated I was told by the superintendent of Gulf Pines that Find a Grave volunteers and anyone else not related to those buried there are not welcome to come in for picture taking/info gathering purposes; instead he says we should advise family wanting pictures to call their office and they will take care of it. So, I'm not going there any longer. As for the photo of Viola's grave, it seems to me you weren't sure if she was even family at that time but I have now added the photo to her memorial on Find a Grave. Best wishes.

|chesterst1||Mary Edna Beck|
Please disregard my suggested edit. The picture in the memorial confused me. I believe the picture is of Edna's mother, my great Aunt Pearl.
Edna was not the daughter of William Jarrett Stone, she was his granddaughter. Aunt Pearl, real name Margaret Edna Stone. Mary Edna Stone Beck was the daughter of Margaret Edna Stone and LaFayette D "Fate" Stone. Aunt Pearl and Uncle Fate were first cousins.
I have noticed that William Jarrett Stone and Margaret Edna Baldwin Stone are listed as the parents of Mary Edna Stone Beck and her sister Lelia May Stone Davenport. They are the daughters of Aunt Pearl and Uncle Fate.
William Jarrett Stone would have been 63 when Mary Beck was born and Margaret Edna would have been 61.
Additionally the 1910 Census lists Fate and Pearl as her parents.
Sorry this was so long, but it is factual.

Kinda has to be his wife? Birth date on the plaque for him is 1917 and 1918 for Viola?? And, I still had the original photo on my memory card. I've made a new image with both of the plaques together. Just let me know if that is what you'd like and I'll post them to their individual memorials. :)

Patti...grave walkers with a sense of humor ROCK! LOL All I wanted to tell you was that when I went to the cemetery with my list of 6 graves they told me their records indicated that Thomas Lynch was not buried there. So, as I'm wandering through the extensive group mausoleum area looking for another name and who do I encounter? Thomas Lynch, of course! I mentioned this discrepancy to the lady who gave me locations and maps (grudgingly I might add) and her response was, "really? I can't believe that. Maybe it's under someone else's name." There was no indication she was going to follow up on this. If a family member calls or shows up at the cemetery, they will be told Thomas isn't there. FYI
By the way, next to him was Viola Lynch. Is she family? Nice chatting! Steve

Not sure I have the correct PattiG (there is another one!), but if you requested a photo of Mr. Lynch's burial site to be posted on his memorial page, please contact me. I've posted the photo but have additional information for you. Thanks, Steve

Patti, I am interested in the gravesites for A.D. Patteson and Dora Patteson (assuming husband and wife). I collect cabinet cards, and have one from circa 1890 of Dora Boone Patteson. This photo was taken at the Lenny & Sawyers Gallery, Purcell, I.T. (Indian Territory). This photo lists her name on the front and back. The oldest she would have been when taken was 18 years old. Lenny & Sawyers were known for photographing various Native American Nations including Apache, Caddo, Comanche, Kiowa, Otoe, and Wichita. Dora is clearly of Native descent, so I'd be interested in learning more about her. I plan on scanning and posting this picture on the page that you've prepared for her, with your permission. Thanks for any insight.

|Charles||Linda Carr Swafford|
I received a message saying the Hillside Cemetery office did not have any record for Linda Swafford being buried there.
Her Father, Mother and Brother are there. Burl, Erma and Melvin Carr.
I wonder who could help on this matter.

My apologies. I added a marriage date that is incorrect in my edit for this marriage. They were married in about 1914, after John's second wife (Gattie Kirkland) died in 1912.
Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for all you do for the "grave walkers". (I like that and will use it in the future. Good description.)
