Richard L Cottrell Memorial
Dear Bob,
You have created two memorials for Richard L Cottrell. First you created a memorial (#85210899) on March 28, 2011 and then you created a duplicate memorial (#85210899) on Feb 19, 2012. Both of these memorials were created way before his death on March 7, 2013. You are not supposed to create memorials for people before they die. Please delete the duplicate that has no information.

Death family in wrong cemetery
Hi Bob,

You have created memorials for the Death family in Union Chapel Cemetery. They were all buried in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Memorials were created for them in 2010, which precede the memorials that you created in 2013. Check out Memorial# 60999258, this family has been linked together and has headstone photos posted on the memorials.

RE: Marion Brown
The entry you are asking about was created in 2008.

In a effort to help others in their search to find relatives, most of my entries are taken from cemetery transcripts found at local libraries.

I am not related to this person/family.

If you would like me to transfer this memorial to you, I will gladly do that.

Frank Thomas
I don't know if I told you or maybe your father. But I knew your grandfather. What a nice man! I was married to Tom Kennedy of Kennedy Oil Co in LaGrange and Frank would come into the office and talk. We made the connection then that he had graduated with my mother. I had forgotten that he had the Western Auto store. If you take after your grandfather then you should feel proud. Yes he was a talker but that was an attribute. He was a gentleman and such a dear man. I have such fond memories of nice conversations with him. I have thought of him over the years and I was glad to have known him. Thank you for sending me your note. I have a feeling that you take after him in other ways besides talking to people. It seems he left a good legacy.

Una & Ona
You may be right - the dates for Nida are the same as the ones for Ona, but the death certificate states Ona Pearl and not Nida Leona. I always thought perhaps they were twins. Well, for now am going to let it be - perhaps I will end up deleting it anyway. Somewhere someone made an error. Barb

Re: Bob Thomas
Now I understand your question. My mother was Phyllis Dye, Class of 1936 of North Side. I was going through her yearbook and information she had from reunions (she was chairman or co-chairman of the class reunions for many years.)I entered information on some of her classmates as well as classmates of my dad's, (Neal Rupert) class of 1935. I only knew your dad through my mom. But I believe I knew maybe a relative,Frank. Did he spend any time around LaGrange county at one of the lakes. If he is from your family, I used to talk to him when I lived in LaGrange and he used to come in to my ex in-laws business. I remember him as a very nice gentleman. Does this answer how I came to post your dad's information? And if you have a number from Find a Grave I would be happy to transfer his memorial site to you. Let me know. Cheri Rupert Mattox

I'm not sure what you are asking. One of my family lines comes from Wells, Blackford and Grant counties if that is the area you are from and asking about.

can you double check your entry for Catherine Chronister at Union Chapel Cemetery? She is also showing at Zion Cemetery, with a photo of her grave.

Lettie Death
I wonder if you could double-check your records, to see if Lettie (Kirkland) Death w/o Ezra Hugh Clifford Death is truly buried in Union Cemetery. Her obit states she is in Mt. Tabor.

I transferred management of J and Una Thomas to you. I think if you are related, you should have the management. I take pictures of headstones and if the information isn't on Find A Grave, I add it, but if a relative comes forward, they get the honor of taking care of it.

I'm glad that with my help you found your grandparents. I have many, many relatives that I can't find.

Thank you!

RE: Van Wert , Adams, Wells counties
Hi Bob:

Thanks for the reply... No worries about stepping on my toes at all. I appreciate your interest and hope that you can add information to the listings or create new ones as you find them.

Also -- remember, no matter how light you walk, there's is always someone out there who will say you stomped on them.

Welcome to this site as well as others; any assistance that I may offer, please feel free to ask.

RE: Van Wert , Adams, Wells counties

I have completed all of Adams County as well as working on the records for Allen and Wells Counties. I read the entire cemetery, not inclusive to certain surnames. So, if you enter a relative in FindAGrave, thats great, but once the cemetery is read, if it is not listed, I enter it.

I do not do this strictly for FindAGrave as I work with the Indiana Genealogical Society as well as the Fort Wayne Public Library - Genealogy Department. I also work with the Allen County DAR chapter as well as other groups.
I do this to provide information for any/all persons interested in doing family history.

RE: Beatty family in bluffto, Indiana
Hello Bob,
If you have information/ dates that need to be added to the Beatty family memorials that I have set up in Fairview Cemetery then I would be the one to do that for you. Just send me the information and which Beatty memorial number it goes with and I can get it done. Thanks!
