Bio

I am a descendant of Roland Hankins m Mary Elizabeth Davison. Roland and his second wife Barbara (sister to Mary) are buried in Silvies Cem. Grant Co Ore. I was born 2 Mar 1948 and am a family genealogist since a child. I lived with my grandparents who were cousins. I was left Grandma's family trunk of six generations that overlapped photo albums and old letters. Roland parents were Daniel Hankins Jr. m Anna Collier I have their Bible records, ten children to family tree. I am writing a book on Hankins pioneer travels from Va to present. Would like any contacts with cousins far and near. Have list of who is buried in Silvies Cem and who parents were. Hiram Reynolds was a trapper from Mo and Kansas who traveled with Roland's two brothers, Amos and Enos Hankins, westward. Daniel b 30 Jan 1805 Va d 2 Nov 1871 High Point Iowa High Point Cem. Not known where Anna died but was in 1880 c of Ryan Sumner Co Ks with Roland. After that, I don't know. She was b 8 Nov 1805 Va/
I am a retired hairdresser, LVN, massage therapist/Reike, wildlife photographer, poet and historian for the late Andy Rodgers The Midnight Cowboy 1922-2004. We spent 16 yrs together before his passing. He was a blues legend and hay hauler and intertainer. I love to write and preserve history. I am a nature lover and have adopted seven cats inherited a golden lab, take care of Mom age 88 and live in a walnut orchard here in Biggs Calif.
I am single and devote much of my time to helping others. I love cemeteries and the old stones and can only imagine the stories our ancestors could tell if I could just spend a few minutes with each of them.
I am in to preserving the old photos I have for the Hankins book and would like any additions you all might have to help me.
I have blond hair blue eyes and one day I will be an ancestor whose descendants might say, I've found an old box of poety Georgie Ann wrote, it's as if I already know her.
I write under the name of Snowflake, Georgie Ann Waddell
To all my cousins and friends, Love, Georgie Ann
I also descend from Amos Hankins m Sarah E. Beavers. They were my grandpa Ernest Frank's parents.

In respect for my Mother, Viola Jensen Hankins Miller linage, I spent most of my life with this side of the family after age 12. I was raised between two uncles and two aunts who were Jensen/Casella. (John Jensen m Ida Casella and Thelma Jensen m Joseph Casella) Viola Jensen's parents were John Edward Jensen #107285077 married Lydia Christine Nielsen, # 107286235. Their linages can be traced by using findagrave by going to thier pages. Grandpa had a tremendous sense of humor and retired from the postal service and Grandma was a homemaker. She loved knitting and tatting. I lost them when I was young.
My Mother lived with me for the past thirty years, passing on 4 Mar 2013. I come from a LDS family on Mother's side of the tree and from a Babtist side on my Father's side of the tree. I am always searching for more cousins, far and near to share photos and stories with.
My Mother was cremated and does not show up when entering her name as Viola "Toots" Jensen Miller. Her # is 106197273. She once told me, when she was growing up her parents did not show the kids love and affection that when she became a mother she would give all the love she possibly could give. And you know what, her patience, her love and her perservering on raising us four kids is testimony to that. We often talked about the day we would have to part and she said, "You will be okay, when you need me just ask for me and I will be there." And she knows how much I tried to keep her in this world with me. I love her so much she was more than a Mother, she was my friend through life.
