We live in western Rowan County, with easy access to cemeteries within a 15-20 mile radius located in Rowan, Iredell, and Davie Counties. To help prepare or research cemeteries we use our area's helpful cemetery administrators as well as the Rowan County Central Library's History Room which houses many North Carolina church and county cemetery records. I've accumulated several digital lists over the years and update those lists as best I can.
My husband's paternal side: Steele, Chambers, Graham, Knox, Brandon, Cowan, Wilson, Luckey, Locke, Nichols, Phifer, Ramsay, Young among others. His maternal side: Walker, King, Quarterman, Smith, Jones, Way, Winn, Reade, among others mostly in south Georgia, descending from immigrant families, particularly Walker of Taunton, Massachusetts.

My paternal side: Hutcheson, Launius/Lanius, Durham, Chaffin, Dudley, Johnson, Carleton, Chiles/Childs, Smith, and Johnson- to name a few- mostly of colonial & current Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina. My maternal side: Ellis, Reynolds, and Potts, predominantly of colonial Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, and a bit of North Carolina.

We have worked for several years on family trees for both sides, digitizing information and photos from records and research left to us by ancestors. We gratefully add new information as the genealogy research world continually digitizes more data for us to find.

Memorials will be happily transferred unless they are our family. Ask for them through the Edit tab on the memorial, and you are welcome to use my memorial photos for genealogical purposes. Just give me credit.
