Bio

In early 2011 following the death of my mother at age 95, as I was cleaning out drawers and boxes, I came across scads of family genealogy information and photos that had been accumulated by my father and maternal grandparents over the years. Since that time, I have become obsessed with continuing to trace my family's lineage in the hopes of passing the information down to my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

When I became stuck trying to find the death location of one of my second great grandfathers, Josephus Morgan, I found it on Find A Grave. I was so impressed with this website and the volunteer who had taken photos of his grave, I decided to become a volunteer and give something back to what I had been given. While I signed up to volunteer earlier in 2012, it is only in June that I have taken the plunge and claimed/fulfilled my first missions. I have been bitten by the bug, and hope to complete many more. My wife Marsha has joined me in helping to find sites and trimming the grass and sweeping the leaves off markers. I will be happy to transfer management of memorials I have created to any relative.
