Greetings and thank you for your desire to create memorials to honor those who have departed. Two memorials that you created are for my mother's brother, F Heath Little and his wife, Catherine Little. I can either add information and you edit, or if you prefer to transfer the memorial to me, I will gladly assume the responsibility.
Thank you for what you do. Judith Pahnke

|Donald Stanley||RE: WRONG PHOTO|
Kat and Gilmer Sisk's house on West Mountain Street, K'ville was about 500 feet from Jay R. and Evelyn Stanley's house (where I and brother Ronnie grew up) on Stanley Farm Road. I believe the Sisk's house had been Sam and Flora Stanley's house.
Kat Stanley Sisk's father, Sam was a brother to my grandfather Charlie Stanley (wife Maggie Fulp Stanley) who also lived on Stanley Farm Road.
I never really knew Bobby very well because he is ?? years younger than me. He may have ridden Bus 123 or 87 that I drove in 1961-62 or 1962-63. I'm 72 -- first graduating class at East Forsyth, married Jeanie Swaim of Kernersville for 51 years. I'm retired from East Carolina University faculty (Biology), Jeanie retired from Wells Fargo. We live in Greenville, NC, have three children in their late 40's and four grandkids.
I have been interested in family history for 50 years and have tons of Stanley genealogy info, including a little from Aunt Nannie Harrell who lived next door to Kat and Gilmer. Dad rescued such things as a 1869 wedding tintype of Rom Stanley and his first wife Emeline Hines, Rom Stanley's Civil War diary, letters from relatives who emigrated to Indiana after the Civil War and lots of photos. I say rescued because they were about to be burned in a fire in the yard where Aunt Nannie's relatives were cleaning out her house in September 1966 after she had died earlier that year. I compiled and published in the 1970s a five-volume set of books entitled Forsyth County, NC Cemetery Records (60,000 names I had transcribed from tombstones).
I've been away from genealogy for about 20 years due to lack of time (work, other hobbies including woodworking, classical music, book collecting and travel). I've just recently started using Ancestry dot com and am amazed by how much more efficient it is than the "old" way (visiting courthouses, the NC State and National Archives, etc.). Find a Grave is also impressive. Just yesterday I had an email conversation with a guy in Basset, VA who is -- for no reason other than he 'just enjoys doing it'-- taking and contributing thousands of tombstone photos.
I am in the process of digitizing over 4000 family photos, color slides and negatives, 600 letters Jeanie and I wrote to each other before we were married (I was at UNC while she was still at East Forsyth), hundreds of newspaper clippings saved by my dad (weddings, obituaries, etc.), WWII era letters, etc. Nearly lost all this 1n 2012 when our house burned. Some things were damaged or lost (e.g., just one little Polaroid of our wedding survived.)
You may not know that there is a National Stanley Family Association (see website) that has annual reunions and has published 6 books (totaling about 2000 pp.) of our Stanley family genealogy. One volume covers only descendants of Strangeman and Jemina Mills Stanley, which includes ALL of Rom Stanley's descendents (Strangeman was Rom Stanley's great, great grandfather (1745-1811). I lost al those books in the fire, along with about 5000 (half my collection) of Natural History books and 6000 classical CDs. I've ordered replacements for the genealogy books.
I will post pictures of Mom and Dad on Find a Grave as soon as I have time. I've just started building a Stanley tree on Ancestry dot com. I'm still learning about all its capabilities. Just discovered that I can merge info. from other's trees -- for example your Stanley and Sisk tree. If I wind up taking the time to put in everything I have access to, it would be a tree with well over a thousand "limbs"(persons) and "leaves" (photos). We'll see. Have so many things I want to do and the years are flying by.
I am on Facebook (Don Stanley)and am posting some family photos there, as is cousin Jim Stanley (James Stanley on Facebook), one of Uncle Clay and Aunt Flavel's boys. They lived on West Mountain between the Sisk house and Stanley Farm road. My email is email@example.com
I'll put photos of Mom and Dad -- and others -- on Find a Grave as soon as I can get around to it.
Take Care, Don Stanley

|Donald Stanley||WRONG PHOTO|
Jay R. and Evelyn M. Stanley
Pisgah Methodist Church
Forsyth County, NC
I am Donald W. Stanley. Jay R. and Evelyn M. Stanley were my parents. The photo posted here IS NOT the JAY R. AND EVELYN M. STANLEY buried at this location. I have scores of photos of my parents and 50 years of experience in Stanley Family Genealogy. Also compiled and published 5-volume set of Forsyth County, NC cemetery records (about 60,000 names) in 1970s. Please let me help you fix this error.

|Eleanor Morrison Lawson||James and Isabel Barnwell's markers|
The ones on Find a Grave for James b.1816 and Isabel b. 1818 are the markers I am referring to
William and Lucretia Morrison's Isabel according to census and family records was 1830. and the 1860 census has James being born abt 1822.
Also Lucretia Cleland Morrison was born 1813
I don't really believe she could have had a child
in 1818 at age 5.
This needs checked out because Wm and Lucretia were my Great grandparents. I cannot go along with this.

The $25 is on their page on F-A-G. When I went the first time to seem him, my son spoke to him. I had him do it just in case, as he is a police officer there.(Thought it might get me a point or two. :) ) There were super nice. I just wanted to add it ti his memorial. I 'll try to get my son to ask for it. Thank-toy. It was the first time I have seen it. I want to get an Air Force plaque on it as he retired after 20 years. I cannot express how much that meant to me. Thank-you.

Hi. You took a picture of SSGT C. W. Blackburn in Walkertown NC and I was wondering if you had made a notation of his burial information. He is my father and I would like to send him flowers. It says volunteers have to pay $25. If you don't have it I am hoping family doesn't have to pay $25 per request. I think that's a bit much. That you for taking his photo ~Sandie
