I have been studying the genealogy of our family for over 30 years. My mother-in-law got me seriously interested in genealogy by giving me the book "History of the Hershey Family" by Scott Funk Hershey. The book traced the history of the Hershey family. She is listed in the book and it followed her direct line, as well as others, back to the 1600's. I am in the process of updating that book for my family. In addition to Hershey, our family includes the Kellogg, Corrie, Johnson, Nickerson, Cheney, Rees, families to name only a few, some famous and a couple infamous. We are connected to a lot of families buried in the Wabash Presbyterian Church Cemetery, where my mother-in-law is interred along with her parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. Other family members direct and indirect are interred in cemeteries located in Crawford, Edwards, Lawrence, Richland and Wabash counties in Illinois as well as in South Dakota, New York, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio and other states and countries.

Some of the information/obituaries I post on my memorials, or pass on to other contributors, may be found in the Lawrence County (IL) Public Library's genealogy department.

I am happy to transfer any memorials that are not a part of my family.

Note: For the past 3 years, I have been living in Kansas, Illinois, California and Colorado. I left Kansas and sold my house in southern Illinois and am, for the time being, in Decatur, Illinois going from here to California and Iowa. All my research is in storage in Kansas for possibly the next year or so.
