Schimmel Family
Finally home and looked at all the entries for the Schimmel Family. There are a few I don't know, but the key players in my family tree -- Joseph, Josephine and Charles are helpful. Thanks again for taking the photo and for the clarification as to why the headstone is on the ground. Elizabeth

Caton Springs in Henry Co, TN
Hi,
You did alot of work at Caton Springs. Thanks for all the memorials & photos. Wayne Webb had recently gone out there & took all the headstone photos also. Some that were a bit clearer I posted & sent you an edit. Those stones that appear to have been stamped are VERY HARD to read. You did a great job transcribing those stone. And the different spelling of some of the last names will make it harder for relatives to query.
Also sent you some edits with more information than on the stones, i.e. complete dates, maiden name, family links. I appreciate your help.
Are you from Henry Co?

RE: Schimmel Family Headstones
Thanks for letting me know. I was wondering what happened so that the stone was laying on the ground. Glad it was not vandalism. I'll follow up with the cemetery. Thank you and thanks again for the photo.

sherry greider stanford
thank you
Thank you so much for the photo you submitted for William Jackson Stanford! In his early days he and his wife were signing documents with this spelling of their surname: "Staniford". I have seen it several times, in their own penmanship. Genealogists, now you know he was the one who changed our family name's spelling to a more simplified form in his latter years. But look for them under "Staniford" in early census records. William's wife was Emma Daisy McClara.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts in the Stanford family!!

Thank you so much for fulfilling the photo request. I personally had taken a photo of my Great-Grandfather's stone while visiting Indy many years ago but lost the photo due to a computer crash.

I really appreciate volunteers such as yourself, know you are valued.

Thank you again.

If you go to the memorial and click on the cemetery the website will come up. Click on see all obits and put Sofie Hartman into the search boxes and she will come up. She is most definitely in that cemetery and listed on their website as being there. Maybe they never entered her into the office computer? Weird. Don't fret over it.

RE: Jemima Carmichael Gillham
Hello and thank you so much for the query. I am soooooo sorry - this last year has been awful in so many ways and I pretty much just got involved in other things. I am now back and trying to answer correspondence ASAP!!

Jemima was my great-great-grandmother - as far as I know she was married to David P. Gillham, but I have heard several stories. If you have any info I would love to have it and will share what I know. Thanks so much!!!
