I am interested in family history in Alabama and south-central Tennessee. Those interests include the Parsons of DeKalb and Jackson Counties Alabama as well as Franklin County Tennessee (Laban D Parsons; his son Harrison Lafayette Parsons; and in turn his son James Boyd Parsons, Sr., my grandfather); the Crownovers and Crabtrees of DeKalb County, Alabama, and Franklin County, Tennessee; the Vines (my maternal grandfather, James Colvin Vines, Sr.) near Hueytown, Alabama; the Martins (my maternal grandmother's paternal line) of Dallas County, Alabama and her maternal line the Foxes in and around Birmingham; the Smoots and Chandlers (my paternal grandmother's family) near Huntsville, and in nearby Limestone County, Alabama; as well as various paternal lines including the Sims, Prince, Gray, and Trice families in Jackson County Alabama.
