2023 November Mountain View Cemetery…Finished up photographing all headstones in Section H and adding them to their memorials, also making memorials for those that had none.
I finally found my Uncle and his wife that I've been looking for for like 11 years, I now have found all 10 of my Aunts and Uncles.

2021-2023
I've been helping out with photos at Willamette National Cemetery. Since the need there is great. I've photographed in R-D-L-9 sections as well as others. When requests come up I claim them all in that section and spend the day with my camera, enjoying the piece and quite.
Of course I still hang out in Mountain View Cemetery.
Oct 2019 Mountain View Cemetery..I have finished Section D taking 1775 headstone photos and am in the process of adding them to Find A Grave as well as adding their grave locations to all.
Sept 2019 Mountain View Cemetery.. I have finished Section C taking 516 headstone photos listing them on Find A Grave and adding grave locations to all.
Sept 2019 I just finished listing all the memorials in Section, 2nd Addition their locations if they were not listed approximately 300. Now they will be easier to find if you know their neighbors and there is no headstone for them.

I am working in the Mt. View Cemetery (Oregon City) in the County Park #1 section (paupers). It has been neglected for many many years. I have unearthed and photographed some 62 headstones and marked their rows. These folks deserve to have their graves maintained as much as anyone else in the cemetery. I have finished that project and made a book for the cemetery with their memorials in it.

I am a 6 generation Oregonian and have been doing my family genealogy since the early 70's. Back then it took months to find out one fact, today with the computer that information can be found in the blink of an eye.
Only now it seems more confusing the first thing I learned back then was to document all my information and make sure the facts were correct. Now a day's people just put anything on the internet only guessing or by family stories, making things more confusing. I am now trying to set apart family fact from fiction to keep the information correct for future generations to come.
I love doing genealogy it's a real life story..like a good book you can't put down the only thing is I will probably never know the ending or the beginning.

DO NOT COPY OR TAKE MY FAMILY PHOTOS WITHOUT ASKING.
DO NOT ADD THEM TO YOUR ANCESTRY TREE.

I will not transfer my family memorials...sorry.

My memorials are family and a work in progress, adding to each one as I find family material and photos. I have traveled around Oregon, Washington, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia Arlington National Cemetery and can now add Manatoba Canada 2019. In Manatoba I was able to add over 100 memorials in Lakeview Cemetery. Doing my family research in cemeteries and historical societies is an awesome experience. If you are family I would love to hear from you.

I do photo requests and take photos while I am in the cemetery. I like to take more than one photo of the headstone, to give you the feeling of being there and seeing the surrounding area. If you would like me to remove any of my photos just ask.

One more thing.. if I find an error on any memorial I will ask for the mistake to be corrected, whether it is a duplicate that needs to be removed or the addition of the plot location. I would like all memorials to be the best they can be.
