Bio

I live in the greater Washington, D.C. area. When the weather is nice, going for a stroll in one of DC's green spaces is a gift.

FOR MILITARY BURIALS - U.S. SOLDIER'S AND AIRMEN'S HOME, District of Columbia: Administered by Arlington National Cemetery. F-A-G Member GulfPortBob did a complete inventory of the cemetery. Please call Arlington National Cemetery for questions on interments.

A NOTE ON FINDING OBITUARIES: If using Chronicling America in the early years Evening Star obituaries are on Page 3 with the exception of Sundays when they are on page 5 (thanks to NE MO for the tip for this). I have found the search term "funeral" to be superior to either "died" or the surname when searching genealogybank or Chronicling America with a window provided by interment or death date.
Another fantastic tip from NE MO when searching The Evening Star at Chronicling America: From any page of the Star, click "All Issues" Put in the year, a calendar pops up, click the date you want and page thumbnails appear. Start with the death date then move from issue to issue as before. No more putting in awkward date ranges and searching by keywords

I just recently completed a full inventory of Glenwood cemetery, Section Q. Thanks to all of those whose hard work had come before mine and for being tolerant of my endless edits. I am currently working on Glenwood cemetery, Section P.

I am more than willing to transfer rights to any memorials that I have created unless I am a direct descendant of the person who is memorialized. Please feel free to use my photos. No need to credit me.
