Bio and Links
Bio Photo Finding info on relatives or friends here can be very rewarding and give some closure, but from a genealogical point of view it's cool. It can give you more leads! Posting memorials here has helped me find many living relatives as well. Many of which I never knew about! If you think your related, or have other info you can leave a message for me so I can contact you.
If I need to fix an error or add info, click on the edit button in upper right corner of the memorial in question.

Just to clarify; Many of my memorials in Colorado cemeteries have Obits with "RMN" as the source. RMN stands for The Rocky Mountain News - now out of business.

I'm currently researching these family names:

Braddy, Brady, Renspie, Roenspie, Roenspies, Schenke, Krueger, Kruger, Peacock, Oehlke, Mason, Suddith, Suddeth, Jones, Worrell, Worrel, Harrison, Hutton, Swanson, Swansen, Thiele, Clawes, Ferrier, Danielsen, Rodgers, Rogers, Thiele, Hutton, Hampton, Holder, Hamacher, VonCannon, Benya, Brehm, Balzer.
.

Other very useful free research sites I use are; Familysearch.org
My Heritage Family Tree Builder - where I have my tree.

OUR FREEDOM IS Not FREE!
Never take it for granted.

I'm proud to have served in the USMC! Thanks so much Fellow Vets and Active Duty Personel and your families!

JW Braddy & Mary Temple
Dear Scott,
Are you related to the Braddys referred to at Bethlehem Cemetery. My Grandmother, Mary Temple, married JW Braddy on 9 Aug 1921. I see in doing my genealogy, That her aunts, Mary Cochran & Ellen Velvinia, both married Braddys (Harve & Nugent respectively). JW & Mary had a son. If you're from this family, I'm sure you know all this. Is JW Braddy a nephew of these Braddys? Thanks, Denise

Lewis Braddy/Brady #158578738
Hi Scott,

Hopefully, I've understood this correctly. On Lewis Braddy/Brady's memorial you have him marrying a Mary Crawford on 13 Feb 1770. This is the same date that he's documented as marrying Elizabeth Giles in Johnson Co., GA. You also show that spouse (Mary) on his memorial. Is this a mistake, or was Lewis married twice? If so, do you have documentation which supports his marriage to Mary Crawford? Also, what source do have regarding Lewis' parents, who are also listed on the memorial? Many thanks for your help. Since he was my maternal 4th great-grandfather, I will sincerely appreciate any help you can afford me.

27669305 Walter, J.Dillenback
I am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many soldiers/sailors that had ties to, or roots in Vermont, that served during the Civil War.

Walter John Dillenbeck # 27669305 is one such patriot. He was a Native Son of Vermont, being born in Alburg in 1844, and served in the 118th New York during the war.
May I use the photo that you contributed to his Find A Grave Memorial, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Scott:
I have both my Mom's and her sister's (Jenelle Braddy Haines and Mary Jo Braddy Eakin) DNA on Gedmatch, Ancestry and FTDNA.

I am looking for cousins who have submitted DNA to any of the above.

I also have Hawkins, Cook, Thigpen, Hill, Underwood matches on Ancestry DNA.

Garth Waters 27130204
Hi Scott,

Great news!

I've been in contact with one of the volunteers at Riverside and between the two of us we have unraveled some things.

Garth Waters (there are 2 listed on Findagrave.com -- https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=garth&GSmn=&GSln=waters&GSbyrel=all&GSby=&GSdyrel=all&GSdy=&GScntry=4&GSst=7&GSgrid=&df=all&GSob=n).

The Garth Waters at Riverside shows a CW Union headstone with the name 'Saddler' on it. The name is really Civillian Waters; Saddler was his rank/title.

The Fairmount Garth Waters truly is the Spanish American War vet.

Once we discovered who the Saddler headstone belonged to, things really started to unwind and has led us to discovering that Saddler is really Civillian Waters. (You'll see the resources listed in the 'edit' I sent you).

And upon further checking, Civillian is already listed in Findagrave.com under memorial #171981172 -- https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=waters&GSiman=1&GScid=57513&GRid=171981172&)

I sent you some edits, however, now that I have found Civillian listed already, you may not need them.

This is so exciting to get these two gentlemen straightened out, or rather, to find out who the 'saddler' is.

Hope you enjoy the find as much as we have.
