RE: Reuben E. Woolworth's Crossman wife
My line comes from Joshua:
Reuben E.>
William Henry>
Jesse Ernest>
Marion O.>
Donald Jesse>

I have no documentation of any kind about Reuben E.'s Crossman wife. The D.A.R. believes her maiden name may have been Grossman, but I haven't seen any supporting information for that either.

Leona Borders
My name is John Carroll, grandson to Leona. I found her death certificate, and she died in East Chicago, Lake, Indiana. Her married name at the time of her death (and what is written on her gravestone) is Borders. She was first a Woolworth, then Davenport, then Kuenzi, then Borders, in that order. Thought you'd want to know. I suggested these Edits.

Reuben E. Woolworth's Crossman wife
Do you have any documentation about the marriage of Reuben E. Woolworth and Ms. Crossman? He is my 4th g/grandfather, and I have been searching for this information for years.

Utah Tombstone Lady
Douglas & Jeff Woolworth father knew Doug, Jeff and attended Leeds Elementary with them. My Dad was also familiar with their parents in the 1950's and were their neighbors. I seen you posted some photos for Jeff and Leland Woolworth. I know that both Doug and Jeff have passed but my Dad would like to reach out to their mother. Do you happen to know how to get in touch with Evelyn? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Foot/Goulden Family
Hello Colleen,

I'm not sure if we've ever been able to connect but I believe we are distant cousins on two counts, with your 3rd Great Grandfather Newell Foot being the brother of my 5th Great Grandfather Johnson Foot and Newell's wife Mary Goulden being the sister of my 4th Great Grandfather Farnum Merrill Goulden. If you are interested, I have quite a bit of information on the Goulden Family which I would love to share. My email is

Amelia Jane Spragg Miller
Hi Colleen,
Apologies for posting here, having email export issues at the moment, though still can receive messages.
Iím descended from Gineveraís younger sister Josephine, so thatís how Iím related. I know about the Darling family only in passing, that's about all though.
Through Ginevera and Josephine's mother Amelia Jane Spragg Miller, weíre all desended from Jan Janszoon "Murat Rais" Van Haarlem. Unfortunately, he was not really a good guy though.

Woolworth Line
Hi Colleen

I am distantly related to the Woolworths (through the Crerars) and an doing most of my work through Not surprisingly as we get into the early 1800's the information begins to get a bit sparse. It seems like your info from Find A Grave is the most solid -- but I was just wondering what your sources are and how you were able to connect the dots. Feel free to email me if it is easier. I am "stuck" once we hit Reuben Woolworth -- the census data and other records get pretty tough to match up.
