RE: Sintha Steward Wade
Thought you would like to know that I recently had my DNA done by Ancestry and according to the results, I have no Native American blood. The results show that my ancestors came from Ireland, Great Britain, Europe West, Iberian Peninsula, and Scandinavia. Also that we are 2nd cousins (2x removed)!

Regards, Cousin Janette

RE: Mary Missouri Wade Smith
Hello Martha...

Yes, I remember you and previous discussions. I am sorry to say I have nothing to add except that Mary Missouri & Henry had moved to Bolivar County in 1910 Census. I could find no record of either being buried in Bolivar or Sunflower County Find A Grave or otherwise. I am surmising unmarked graves. Mary Missouri was my great-aunt and I remember my mother talking about her name, etc. and I paid no attention. Would that I had. I did not get interested in all of that until after her memory was not sharp.

Good luck with your search. Janette

Location of grave -rose hill block 3 lot 22
I found the obituary in the Villisca newspapers (http://Villisca.advantaged-preservation.com). I will try to go to the library and look at the microfilm for a better copy of it. I was trying to fulfill a photo request on Find A Grave for his gravestone, but unfortunately did not find a record in city hall of a grave.

Update: Marty and Harley have sent me a message that city hall is not always correct and gave me the location of where the cemetery directory has the graves with a different spelling of the last name. I will check it out once it warms up outside to at least 50. Thanks for being patient😊

Nancy, d/o Jacob Segrest
Jacob Segrest's daughter, Nancy, married Thomas Jefferson Mobley.
Daughter Sarah Elizabeth Mobley married Rev. Joseph Thomas Abernathy. The Mobley's go back to Reuben Mobley of GA, then Edward Mobley of SC. I believe the Mobley's were earlier from Maryland or perhaps Delaware.

RE: Jacob Segrest
I have read that Rev, Jacob Segrest's wife was Rachel Munger of Orangeburg, SC.
If you email me at ocfuller@comcast.net, I can send you the Segrest Tree going back some generations to a Henry Segrest.
Also, in the book: "The History of Methodism in Alabama and West Florida," by Rev. Anson West, you will find several pages on Jacob Segrest and also on my Rev. Joseph T. Abernathy.
Rev. Jacob Segrest preached at Hanover Methodist Church, in Hanover AL, and was a mentor of Rev. Jos. Abernathy, who preached there until his untimely death from typhus, in 1859.

RE: mother of Marshall Manning Wade
No, I don't have parents for Florence Lucinda Ivey. I had not heard about the Cherokee connection. I don't know where she and Davis are buried. I do know it is not Lyerly Cemetery as is listed in some records. I corresponded with a lady who lived there and had the original listing of burials for Lyerly and she stated that Davis Caleb Wade or Lucinda or Tryphenia (2nd wife) were not listed. Some in my family think they are buried in the Wade Cemetery where Robert Henley Courts Wade & Nancy Davis are buried but I have no record of this.

So how are you related to Marshall Manning Wade/Sinthia Ann? They were my great-grandparents on my mother's side.

Great to hear from you. Janette

RE: Thank you for Segrest graves registry
Spent a lot of good times at Wayside, Georgia when Henry & Florida came to see my grandmother Jane Woodall Bryant.
