I have been a high school US History teacher for the past 35 years, researcher, and collector of historical items, mainly military items. I love to take these items to show my students and others that history is something you can touch. I recently returned from a year in Afghanistan with the Indiana National Guard. I volunteered after being out of the military for over 25+ years. Talk about seeing history - I saw it!

For the past 32 years my students and myself have been looking for the families and friends of the 1621 Indiana casualties of the Vietnam War. We conducted all the research for the World War II,Korean and Vietnam Memorials in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. We are presently raising money to build a Veterans Museum in Schererville, Indiana. Well we built it. There were so many people that helped - Veterans, School Board Members, Teachers, Students and so many others who care about our history. It is the Veterans Museum in Schererville, Indiana at our Safety Village and now we have to build another one.
