Bio

The Vermont Society of Sons of the American Revolution (VTSSAR) purpose is to keep alive among ourselves and our descendants and in the community, the patriotic spirit of the men who achieved American Independence; to collect and secure for preservation manuscript rolls, records and other documents relating to the War of the Revolution; and to promote social intercourse and good fellowship among it members.

The VTSSAR is the Vermont State segment of The Sons of the American Revolution the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the American war for independence. As a historical, educational, and patriotic, non-profit corportation and organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the Society seeks to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations --- "one nation and one people".
