Bio and Links
Bio Photo My added vs. managed memorials difference is quite large because I manage many memorials transferred to me from an inactive member.

Please do NOT post scanned obituaries and news articles as photos to memorials as they are not allowed per Findagrave rules. I will ask that they be removed if I see them. Send me the typed information (including source) via the edit tab and I will add it in the bio field where the information belongs.

I also will not link to "unknown" burial memorials as disposition should be known before adding a memorial.

I live in Ashland, IL where Silas had his first general store. Do you have any other information on Silas and his family? I am researching families in the area for newspaper articles.

Thank you,

Shannon Gaston

RE: oops
Thank you for adding my grandparents and their obituaries to Findagrave. I recently visited their graves, cleaned their headstone and took the picture

Unfortunately, we've not been able to make the bridge across the pond. Ours goes back to Stephen b. 1730. We suspect his parents were the immigrants, but we've found not proof yet.

For some reason, there is a Parr stuck in my mind who either died in the St. Louis area and either his parents came from Jasper County, or he was born there. There are too many Parr's in my database and I can't search for the name and location at once! I have too many relatives in Jasper County to do a location search. This is going to bug me! LOL

No, I don't believe there is any Parr connection. Ours came from Delaware, Maryland & Ohio. We have several Isaac's, but no Matthias. You can see our line by going to my father-in-law's memorial, I believe they are all connected. 134781470

Really? I'm fairly certain they could be from hubby's Parr line. I vaguely remember there were a couple in that area. I'll have to check my database now! I believe the father may have died young or something. I'll have to check.
