Bio

I have been doing genealogy research for over 30 years and this site has been a great way for me to find ancestors grave photos and I also enjoy making new monuments and taking photos for others and my own too. I have been trying to go to cemeteries all over on vacation to add more to my list. I have taken photos in Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia. I love being complete and as error-free as possible, so if you have info for someone I have created a monument for, please send it to me for correction. Also, if it is your relative and you want to manage it...feel free to ask. I just love this site and want to give it my all for genealogist and just for people who want their relatives found and honored.

EDITS - I am a member of The Ypsilanti Historical Society and The Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County. As such, I have been afforded the privilege of access to the Fletcher/White Archives at the YHS Museum and the resources of the GSWC, not to mention the wealth of knowledge of those I am surrounded by at these establishments. Therefore, sometimes I am exposed to information that is not immediately able to provide physical documentation to be posted on media sites such as these. But, I am not in the habit of arbitrarily suggesting edits for no reason. I am very conscious of the negative impact not being honest, thorough and professional when dealing with historical matters. Taking that in mind, I am not infallible. If I made an honest mistake I will correct it. But, please, make sure you have the documentation to back up your claim.

OBITUARIES - As to the use of obits in the form of a photo instead of a copy/paste, I am currently undertaking a huge project to share our info at the YHS archives with FAG and Ancestry I am organizing, compiling a alpha list and digitizing our huge collection of obituaries for the local area which consists of literally thousands of obits. I do not have time to transcribe every obit that I update a memorial with. If you would like to transcribe it word for word and drop me a line, I will delete the photo.

PRIVACY - On another note, I have had conversations with other FAGers and don't understand the "privacy" issue when posting information containing living relatives. Someone searching for a connection would find this information highly valuable. And really, after having an obit in the local NEWSPAPER and usually on the funeral home page, does it being on here really constitute an infringement of privacy? That being said, if a relative is, for some reason, not wanting their name included, if THAT person contacts me, per FAG rules, I will delete the said information.

COPY RIGHT/CREDIT - One last thing, I am very thorough about giving credit to an individual or an institution regarding the right to information that I share on FAG. If I should post something that is not my personal information or photo and I do NOT give credit, please let me know so I can remedy this oversight.

Please feel free to reuse any of my photos I post. Just give me credit... unlike some other members, I feel that this should be a sharing site, after all we all have the same goals (or should)... finding and sharing info on ancestors!!!
