I started doing genealogy in 1996, when my husband's family passed around old photos and other information at a family reunion. I have been hooked every since!

Surnames: A list of surnames that Dennis and I am in search of…

*Abrams, Allen, *Baugh, Baxter, Blackburn, *Cary, Cooper, *Cutright, Dean(e), *Deckard, *DeLong, DeVar/Devore, Drake, Eads, Friend, Godfrey, Hardin, Hathaway, *Headley/Headlee, Hildenburg, Hinkle, Lentz, Lucas, *Miller, *Morse/Moss, *Paul, *Rob(e)y, Royce, Sea, Sheppard, Skidmore, Strong(e), Sweating, Vance, Wilbur, *Wilson

Also looking for:
Baker, Gibson, Hurt, *Judd, Kingston, *Preston, Sparks, *Wildrick, *Whitehead, *Bierly, Brown, Bunger, *Disher, Emrick, *Fetters/Vetters, Flowers, *Gebhart, Landes, Livingston, *Loxley, May, Minnick(h), *Reichard, Robert,
Rookstool, Tickel, Wolf/Woolf/Wolfe

I am not sure how I stumbled onto the Findagrave site, but when I saw what they were doing, I decided to start putting on-line the information that I have. Then I realized the potential of this site, by housing grave stones before cemeteries could be destroyed by moving or vandals, I started driving to area cemeteries and copying headstone information.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Instead of creating memorial pages, I am concentrating on getting the "157 Million" memorials linked together. Don't get me wrong, I still make memorial pages as well as photograph cemeteries, however, my main interest right now is getting families linked together.

Please do not duplicate memorials! It makes it difficult to link families together and/or complete cemeteries when there are duplications. First do a search of the whole website AND then if you know the cemetery, search the cemetery as well...Thank you for your consideration.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Please make note: It is NOT a "numbers" game to me, I do this to honor the deceased! I spend upwards of 10+ hours a day on the computer working on findagrave.com. It does not matter who has the memorial page, if I can add information, I send it to the creator, if it is a relative and I have a photo, I add it to the memorial page...what is important here is NOT that I have maintenance of a relative's memorial page, it is that someone cared enough to go out and photograph that memorial so that I and future generations can see the headstone!

Not to upset or belittle anyone, but I WILL ONLY MAKE PERMANENT TRANSFERS WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF FINDAGRAVE.COM that being 4 GENERATIONS: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED and your member id#, without these, your request will be deleted.

For EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS or all other requests, I will gladly make additions, corrections or links. PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB on the upper right-hand corner of the memorial to send the information. This sends me a direct link to the memorial page required to make the changes. I delete all requests left on my "bio" page or sent to me in a e-mail. Don't forget to send the memorial numbers for links.

If you are seeking transfer to "have all my family together" ~ use the virtual cemetery button. Then all of the memorials will be in the same "cemetery", and you can look at them daily.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Please DO NOT leave biographical information and obituaries in a virtual flower. This is against findagrave.com policy...and the flower will be reported as "abused". As stated, I do make corrections when asked, as well as as try to give credit where credit is due.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Thanks to all of you who have sent additional information for the memorials.
