Bio and Links
Bio Photo I welcome and appreciate corrections/updates/bio info for all the memorials I manage. I may or may not make any changes to the family memorials I manage but will consider everything you send me. I initially got involved in this website to correct mass uploaded inaccurate memorials for family members and it has taken me years to sort all of that mess out.

I take contributors at their word that what they submit is factual/true/correct with some evidence to back it up so please bear with me if there are some discrepancies in the information that is posted. Updates and corrections are never ending.

Verify everything - assume nothing. Speculation and errors abound.

FYI: active duty military personnel are sometimes promoted in rank after death which is then reflected on the grave markers installed by the VA. If contributors are going to insist that the enlisted/officer ranks/titles be noted on the name line, please be aware of this.

I myself am a veteran of the US Army and will not disrespect anyone who served this country or their families left to grieve them, by uploading incorrect information.

Direct family lines I am always working on: Andrews and Mashburn (Sevier County/Tennessee), Gobleman (Germany and Ohio - all spelling variations), and Corley and Langley (Tennessee).

I am making some progress on the James, Mosgrove, and Dimm lines and am uploading family photos where possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my brother and leave a token.
Your kindness means a lot to me at this sad time.

RE: Schlereth photos
I have a photo of him with his wife and children and my husband. Let me see if I can crop that for a photo of him.

RE: Schlereth photos
I apologize. I am just now seeing this message. Yes, Jack was my father-in-law. Both Tom and Lottie had already passed away before I met my husband. I do have pictures, but they include others in the family that are still living, and I'm not comfortable posting them without their permission.

RE: SFC David Salie edit
Jami,
Thank you for your service. I was merely offering transfer. I'm glad that someone who served (especially another Dog-faced soldier) is managing his site. As I've been going through and finding the 468 names (350 done so far) I have found dozens by the same 2-3 folks (Elizabeth Reed for example, probably has created 100 or so) While I'm thankful she created them, I do want to offer to take management. I have no idea where she lives or if she ever served, so it's just an offer. Although I'm now a retired dog-face soldier, I'm still on Ft. Stewart often. Our non-profit, Wreaths for Warriors Walk, ensures they are all honored every year. Have you been to one of our ceremonies in December? Last year was our 10th Anniversary. Please go to our facebook page and like us if you haven't already.
Thanks again
Tony

Jami, great to hear from you! I'm glad you're happy to get the edits because sometimes I feel like I must be a PIA to some folks! ;)

I'm just using Ancestry primarily to locate parents, maiden names, etc. so it's no big deal. If there's anything I can ever look up for you, please don't hesitate to ask.

Until then, it looks like there might be a few more coming for you but not necessarily the Lakins. I found some more that you control but that might very well be courtesy of our wonderful friend, Charles Brown. lol

Hope all is well with you and yours!
Jan
