Bio Photo Forget the zip code - I cover all of Josephine County, Oregon, especially the Historic Cemeteries. I have been a cemetery crawler all my life, and now, as Historic Sites Chair for the Josephine County Historical Society, I have a good excuse to go play in cemeteries in all my free time. I have a database of over 13000 burials in my county, and photos of most markers. Since some of those markers have since been vandalized or weathered to the point of being indecipherable, my photos are sometimes better than seeing the stone itself. I also have a large (and growing) database of obituaries and other related information. I do not charge for my material. Family history belongs in the hands of families, not in a box under my bed.

Sorry - I do NOT go out of Josephine County.

Your SAC - Conrad Fenner, #108840774
I don't have any burial info on his wife, Lois Harris Fenner. Below are the only death notices that I could locate for her.

1:
Lois Fenner, 82, of Corvallis died Monday, Jan 2. McHenry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Source: Gazette-Times (Corvallis, OR), 3 Jan 2017 (gazettetimes.com)

2:
Lois Jean Fenner
Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral H, Grants Pass, OR.

Hi Jean,

So glad I could help. Feel free to contact me directly at ortrek@gmail.com if I can ever be of assistance.

Your database sounds amazing! I'm on the board of directors for the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society. We have quite a database from Jackson County Cemeteries all completed by volunteers. The project has been on hold as we are converting our web site to a true searchable database rather than just indexes online. Although we charge for other information (we have to make money to keep the library doors open), we do not charge for cemetery info. You can check it out at www.rvgslibrary.org. Just click on Cemeteries.

If you ever need another home for all your hard work, we do also include Josephine County records. We would love to house your catalog some day.

Let me know if you have any questions, or again, if you need any assitance with photos, etc.

Cheers!

Santo Cannizzaro
Hi Jean,
I took photos of Santo and Shirley's memorial today and will post them this evening. There was no military marker. They were both cremated and the cremains are in the mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The photos aren't great as there was a lot of reflection on the glass of the columbarium. I'll clean them up best I can.

Yes, I had to get within inches to almost guess if the inscription had his name there .... I'm glad to have decided it was Samuel's!
