I am a retired history teacher of over 37 years who knows that there is a wealth of knowledge to be found and taught by the upkeep of cemeteries and the former lives of the people who are buried within them. Treat the dead regardless if you knew them or not with respect. Just this year a friend of mine and I have taken it upon ourselves to keep up the Fisher Cemetery in the Farmington area. I have no kin there and know no one buried there but take care of it out of Christian respect for the dead that must not have any kin left to take care of it. Have learned some info about the Fisher family and would like to learn more.
