Bio

After growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I took an early retirement from the University of Illinois at Chicago to move to Old Saybrook, CT on the CT shoreline to care for my mom in her later years after my dad's passing in 2007. Now that that period of service has ended, I am even more active on Find A Grave, especially photographing local headstones. I'm active in the Baha'i Community, and a singer with Baha'i Choirs. I've also gotten hooked on genealogy following our family reunion in London in 2008.

Here is a wonderful quotation from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith, concerning death:

"O Son of the Supreme!
I have made death a messenger of joy to thee. Wherefore dost thou grieve? I made the light to shed on thee its splendor. Why dost thou veil thyself therefrom?"
