Georgia "Annie" Cocroft
Hello Rob,

You messaged me a while back (sorry I didn't see this earlier!) about a photo you have for Georgia "Annie" Cocroft #140898546. You said that the dates and her name on her memorial don't match your photo. It's okay, because it is the same person. I would love to have you add her photo and then I will correct her memorial to match. Thanks so much!

Robert Richard Randall
Hello - thanks for the pictures you take and publish. In researching Robert Richard Randall born 1733 in Plymouth MA, died in 1801 it looks like he was the Robert Randall that donated and started Snug Harbor. But, many on-line sites say that that Robert Richard Randall was born in 1750 not 1733, but he did die in 1801. In the Find a Grave memorial #114283135, you have submitted 3 pictures. And this is what it say's about this gravesite:
Birth: Jun. 24, 1733
Easton
Bristol County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: Jun. 5, 1801

Sea Captain and philanthropist, he created the institution known as Sailors Snug Harbor in Staten Island, New York, "for the purpose of maintaining and supporting aged, decrepit, and worn-out sailors".

Note: Captain Randall's remains are interred beneath the memorial pictured.

Burial:
Snug Harbor Cultural Center
West New Brighton
Richmond County (Staten Island)
New York, USA

So, my question for you is is this the same Robert Randall that did indeed create this institution and is he listed on these memorials with the dates of 1733-1801? I really would like this to be true but cannot find anything to substantiate that the real philanthropist was born in 1750 and his father's name was Capt. Tom Randall. Anything you can provide would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks again
Karen P

RE: George Daulton photo request
Rob, thanks for your efforts. If you're reasonably sure that it's the correct headstone, go ahead and post it. I was hoping the inscription would contain some additional helpful infomation, so it appears it won't be of much use for that. Again, thanks. Russ

HOW wonderful of you to do that!
It would be dynamite to capture that stone. A friend of mine wets the stone with water and has gotten some terrific photos of these older stones.

I am truly thrilled you are working on these cemeteries. Kudos of appreciation sent your way!

Thank You so much! I love seeing pictures of my family! I will check back to see the other picture as well. I am trying to piece together my family tree from back then and will be sure to add Theodore and Nick. I am stuck when I try to trace Phoebe Hands line back. Thanks for the pictures! Patti
