I am in the process of going through all my memorials and redacting any personal information from the bio sections. I am doing this due to fear of violating any FAG policy. This also includes any ministers, pallbearers, names of caregivers, and anyone else who is living. I am also making sure my memorials have a source listed. It's wrong to use ANY information from a funeral home website and not credit them as the source. The only information I will enter on the bio section will be the burial info.

Suggested Edits
I've been getting a lot of edit requests for changes that are essentially guesses rather than being supported by documented sources (specifically, information that you have that is NOT listed in their obituary). If you send edits without a source, I will not approve them. I have received incorrect information too many times. I do not use Family Search as I have found them to be inaccurate. I no longer pay to view Ancestry. I have also found issues on Ancestry. For example, I see my grandfather's nephew as his son on Ancestry, and I still can't get it corrected before someone else enters it on their family tree as his son.

I am NOT asking you to upload or download anything to send. I am asking you to copy and paste from the source you use. Here is an EXAMPLE of what I am looking for:

Birth Place Roanoke, Virginia, USA

Regarding the place of birth and death:
Please remember that being listed as "from" or "of" does not mean that is actually where they were born or died. Example: An obituary stated someone was "of Ridgeway, Virginia" and that is where his death location was listed. However, he actually died in a hospital in Eden, North Carolina.

PLEASE DO NOT download or scan an obituary, birth certificate, death certificate, or any other documents and post them to any memorial I create or manage. If you wish to add them to your memorials that's fine, but not on mine.
