|Trisha W.||RE: Dallas & Elsie Woodworth|
My greatest brick wall is our g-g-grandfather David Reeder. He was something of a snake oil salesman. He and his wife were in the 1900 census, both claiming to be widowed. I think he lived with one son, Philo Reeder. All of the Reeder siblings except Philo died rather young. Most of them are in the same cemetery as their mother Roseann. I guess I am going to have to go to Jay County and try and figure out what happened to David Reeder. I can't find his date or place of death, or the cemetery he is buried in.

Just so you know; even with a professional genealogist, I haven't been able to find evidence that Dallas and Elsie were actually married.
He returned to his first wife some time around 1911 and he & his first wife are buried together. There is no divorce decree for him with the first wife.
Even though he allowed Elsie to use his name and gave it to their two children, I can't find any proof that they were actually married.

Yep - they all (myself included) look similar to Grandma Smith. Since Grandma Smith does not look that much like her mother, I am guessing that we all look like Dallas Woodworth, our great grandfather.
|Trisha W.||David Reeder|
No - David Reeder (your g-g-grandfather) died before 1908 - per a family history book I found on line. His wife, Rose Ann, remarried in 1911 and she died in 1918.
Thanks for trying, though. It's a fairly common name, and every David Reeder I have found so far (and there are tons of them on Ancestry.com) is not related to us.

Thank you for sposoring Lila's, Benjamin Ellis', and Grandpa & Grandma Smith's memorials. That was very generous of you.
