As a young student of the 50's in an American commonwealth,my only escape was the PBS television stations that on particular days would broadcast grainy old English & American movies from the 30's & 40's that were welcomed for there was little else to enjoy having been blessed with severely introverted parents. I am thankful for the silver screen & those actors that did the best that they knew how to entertain their audiences.
