At this time I'm trying to play catch up on my memorials since I stepped away from findagrave for a little while. Just caught up on my edit requests. If you sent me a memorial transfer and I have not done that, I'm sorry for the delay. I'm working on them.

----I'm trying to link and add as much information to each of the memorials in Oakridge. If I am related to an individual, I will put my connection next to the flower on the memorial. Please ask for transfer if you are closer related. Hope you find the information we've added helpful and useful.

Please send edits for births, deaths and linking family through the edit tab the findagrave memorial. Please and Thank You

I have been doing family research since 1999.
My direct family lines are Surnames : BABCOCK, BRIEGEL, BURNS, CRAWFORD, DE LA VERGNE, ESSELTINE, HILLS, HUNTLEY, KIMMER, KRAUS, MASTERS, MONROE, PEABODY, ROLLER, Van Fleet/Van Vleet, WATERS, WEBB, YAUDES/JAUDES and a few extras. Trying to figure out brick walls of some of the family tree has pushed me to even do more research than I had expected to do when I had first started. It's very addicting. If you see **** on a memorial, that means I have an obituary and need to add more information to that memorial.

*****OBITUARIES*****
I have contacted the Marshall newspaper and asked if I may add the older obituaries to findagrave. They said it was fine as long as I give credit to the paper I found them in. The older obituaries have helpful information in them. They list other family members, their locations at the time of the family members death, funeral home information and interment location. For some researchers, obituaries can make the difference and point them in the right direction of where to search first.

Please don't duplicate the memorials we've created in Oakridge. It makes it difficult if there is a duplicate when we try to link family together. Contact one of us with the additional information you have and we can add it or get the memorial transferred over to you.

We are trying to input all the burials for Oakridge Cemetery and make each memorial as complete as possible. There are over 15,000 memorials for this cemetery alone. There are several individuals working together toward completion of our goals. Our main goal is to find homes for each one of the memorials that we've input (that we are not related to).

We have burial listings for Oakridge Cemetery from 1839 to August 2011. Thank you Bill Kinney, Kate Keller, Tara, and Keith Burkhead, Fraya, Deb and many others for taking the time and helping with adding/updating information, obits and taking photos of the memorials.
