I have always loved cemeteries. They are a tribute to those that came before. History is alive and well in each one. No two cemeteries are ever the same. Those that do not remember their history are doomed to repeat it.
On a personal note I now find it ironic that the very reason I got on FAG was to research for my children. Elizabeth was my eldest, She went to be with Jesus on September 3, 2020 after being brutally murdered in a domestic violence situation. I have now taken up the cause to get young women out of these situations. The grave is very much an equalizer. As the old country song says, " You don't see a U Haul behind a hearse". Ain't that the truth. I will help when I can to take pictures or send messages if you need help in research in this area of Montgomery county Texas. Romans 14:11 and John 3:16. 2-18-2021.
I recently learned that markers disappear from graves over 50 years old! Some cemeteries internationally do this in order to resell the interment spot! RIGHT??? Heck NO! If you come across this complain to your state legislature! A squeaky wheel gets the grease! Leave the dead alone in their resting place! 1-25-22
