I used to have a huge aversion about walking through cemeteries until my wife, Scrap, started "dragging" me along with her on her many treks to photograph and inscribe these many sacred stones. Over time I developed a passion for the same thing and now find myself looking for those out of the way and small cemeteries people may not visit very often. I have been know to snap a couple of photos myself and get them to my wife as soon as possible so she can get them documented. My days are at peace and ease now when I can walk through a cemetery with my wife. I find myself looking for the unique and possibly the oldest stones I can find. I like thinking about the history and the life of the soul in front of me and wondering how life was like for them. I sometime find myself stopping and silently having a conversation with these people and hoping they are not forgotten.
