He alone saved the Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) from being becoming extinct when he was Chairman of Virginian Wildlife. Yes this is the Bird which the Country TURKEY attained that name. Tom, hen , and poults all.
Benjamin Franklin wanted this as our national Bird.

I am seeking information on David Owen Dickinson, 1844-1875. Would you please contact me to let me know if you have any further information on him? firstname.lastname@example.org. I did post this once already, but I wanted to add the memorial number and link.
Mr. DeMallie, I see you have placed a note on Mrs. Olive Giese Kidd's memorial. I am looking for her daughter, Sharon, because we graduated from high school the same year and I would like to contact her about a class reunion. Do you have any information on her? Thanks so much for all you do on Find-A-Grave.

Hi Triple A, You wrote an absolutely brilliant bio of Mr. Gino Di Spirito. I am so excited reading of the good life he found here in America.
Thank you for sharing him with our community at Find A Grave. He is worth raving about!
Hi, you left a message on Arthur Backers memorial, I'm curious if Laura V Backer 1907 to 1964 was their daughter. I was very close to their daughter Katherine Backer Bouquio but can't recall if she told me about Laura. My hub doesn't know either. Katherine was his grandmother. Any help would be appreciated

|Jane Ferner Lawrence||DeMallie-Dewey|
Dear Mr. DeMallie, Thank you for you very nice note. I am happy to have made a new friend!
Re: Catharine Dewey, sorry to say I have never heard of her. I went to high school with a girl whose surname was Dewey, but I doubt that there is any connection because her grandfather (I believe it was) was from the south, I think it was North Carolina.
Continued good luck with your research. If I ever have something new to share, I will contact you. Jane
|James Harvey||RE: John Harvey 1730-1804|

I saw the note you left on the memorial for Matthew Dill. I just wanted to let you know that page is a duplicate memorial . The correct page with the correct burial information is #15067023. I am trying to get the rest of the family linked to this page. Thanks, Nicole (a Dill descendant)
