I started doing family research in 2007 and was thrilled to come across this website in 2012. I was so excited to find photos that I needed to round out my family history. Not only that, but there were volunteers that were kind enough to fulfill my photo requests, which is super helpful to me since I no longer live in Illinois. Now I dedicate part of my off time to creating memorials and taking volunteer photographs. I've helped many people solve family mysteries just by taking a simple photograph and I think that is really special!

If the memorial is a family member, I am happy to transfer ownership of the memorial---just simply include your contributor number so I can transfer the memorial quickly.
