Bio Photo Frederick (Fred) George Beisser is the oldest child of the late Frederick T. Beisser of Plymouth, Wisconsin and the late Edith Hulda Hoffmann of Town of Lima, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.

Fred graduated from Sheboygan Falls Public High School, was employed in his home town by Curt G. Joa, Inc. for two years and in 1963 enlisted in the United States Air Force. In 1967 while serving with the Air Force in Ankara, the capitol of Turkey, Fred met the late Mechtild Susanne Elisabeth Wienhues of Gelsenkirchen, Germany, who was visiting mutual friends, Johannes and Eva Huber, in their apartment on the grounds of the German Embassy. Subsequently, after Fred's arrival in Wiesbaden, Germany, on a following assignment, he and Susanne were married in 1968. They became the parents of two children, Alice Margrit and Frederick Johan Beisser. Their assignments together included Colorado Springs, Colorado; McClellan AFB, Sacramento, California; Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan; Travis AFB, Vacaville, Calif.; Incirlik Air Base, Adana, Turkey; and Hahn Air Base, Germany. In 1983 M. Susanne E. Beisser died in Blankenrath, Germany in a fatal traffic accident. Eventually, Fred and the children returned to the USA, coming to Lowry AFB, Denver, Colorado for a final assignment at the Air Force Accounting & Finance Center. In January of 1989 Fred retired from the Air Force.

In 1990 Fred was appointed Chief Financial Officer of DCX, Inc., Franktown, Colorado, and later promoted to Vice President--Finance & Administration. Subsequently in 2002 he was appointed Senior Vice President --Finance with PlanGraphics, Inc. of Frankfort, Kentucky, a position he held until his "retirement" in November 2009. He was assigned to its administrative office in Parker, Colorado where also he makes his home. In November 2006 he became a member of the board of trustees for the Elbert County Library District and was elected president; his board term ended in 2012. In March 2009 he was appointed to the board of directors of the East Central Council of Governments in Colorado serving until December 2011. In October 2009 he was elected to the board of directors of the German American Chamber of Commerce - Colorado Chapter and after serving as vice president for several years was subsequently named president until his resignation in 2014.

Fred also holds a PhD from American International University of Canoga Park, California, and was a Colorado certified public accountant for over 30 years. He is fluent in English and German and also speaks Turkish.

In addition to hobbies such as running, Western Americana, elk hunting and Texas Longhorn cattle, Fred has a strong interest in genealogy and is actively researching the following families that appear in his family tree:

Janet Ertel
Actually, my aunt just said to me today that Ertel was the name of Janet Bleyer's first husband, who was a furniture salemesan in Sheboygan or Sheboygan Falls my grandparents socialized with. So Janet Ertel Bleyer (nee Buschmann) would be the correct full name.

Janet Bleyer
Hello Fred,

My aunts are thinking that "Ertel" was a stage name for Janet Bleyer (nee Buschmann). Janet was the daughter of Albert Buschmann, who was my great grandmother Cora Rammer's (nee Buschmann) brother.

Hi Fred: Would you mind changing the bio on this memorial to reflect the following -

They raised two children - her daughter from a previous marriage and his son from his first marriage.

It would avoid confusion - thanks so much.
Cheers~ Shirleen

Hi Fred,

I'm working with the folks at Riverside in preparing to place flags for Veterans's Day.

Would you happen to know where in Riverside this person is buried. (Riverside has no record of him).

Questions about Dale Saxton
Almost 13 years ago, Dale Saxton (10/15/03) passed away and you created his page. I was just wondering if you knew him or have any information on him? I've been trying to find him my whole life and when I finally did, it was too late. You were one of the only people that left a comment on his page.

John Penney and wives
I cannot find this lady's burial info, but maybe you know.
Julie Penney is listed as a stepmother in Fred P. Wilson home who is married to a daughter of John and Lucy, Mary. Also in the home is Quintina Penney in the 1900 census in Canon City. I can't find the 1910 or 1920 census with Mary or any others with Julie. I don't know her maiden name.

Please remove the 'do not add...'from the Memorial I authored. As he was my cousin and I authored the Memorial, I feel it is inappropriate for you to censor the incoming information. Again, please remove the comment.
