Bio and Links
Bio Photo My love of cemeteries began when I was a young girl and my great-grandmother took me up on the hill to the cemetery. She called it the "family cemetery", and I have called it that ever since. I believe we can honor our loved ones even after they are gone from us.

For you:

"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."

Carpenter Family Reunion
Pam, we are having a Carpenter Family Reunion at the Quick Community Center in Quick, WV on Sat. Sept. 2, 11 to 3 if you or any Carpenter's want to come. My email is if you want to get in touch with me. I just got a picture of Dallas Carpenter as a little boy if interested.

RE: Thomas and Anna MacClelland grave
my picture was taken about 2013-2014..perhaps the chalk has been washed off by now...did you also see Sarah's stone that was there also ? It was just to the right if you were facing the east coming in the first drive way. It states SARAH L. and was a flat marble one. From what I was told or the story was that the family disowned her due to her running off with Pearl and leaving William Hayward and the two girls, ANNA AND EDITH. She got them back later on for awhile. It also had something to do with the religion on Anna's side. I believe she was either a Mennonite or Quaker. Her obit did mention a Mennonite service. I wish I had all my ppwk here to send you copies. Anyways it was told to me that Sarah's x husband William and my Uncle Bert had a difference of what was to be on her stone and that was why no last name was put on it. Unknown why her 3rd husband Wilburt Byers had no input. He was listed in the funeral book way down near the bottom. I'll try and scan it for you. I have no pictures of anyone else. Do you have any to share. if so it will be greatly appreciated. I am glad you made the trip. Our cousin Delores said she went there Mother's day to clean up. I will call Shirley at the Brown City Library and see if she will look up Anna's obit and send me another copy.

I don't live near the cemetery. I purchased a book with the information and uploaded it. I have relatives there. I'm happy to transfer your family to you.
