Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in Ridgewood New York and remember seeing and admiring the Original Houdini Gravesite before it was vandalized. But I really got the find a grave bug while visiting Novo-Devichy Cemetery Moscow, Russia. There I saw the following grave & I was hooked. It is of hands holding a heart. It is the grave of a Doctor who did heart transplants. If you like art, sculpture, architecture, great landscaping, and al little peace and quiet there is nothing better than a well maintained cemetery. Cemeteries are fascinating places and have increased my appreciation of history, art, & architecture. We often yearn for yesteryears but at cemeteries the past still reigns. I would like to than Jim for all the work he has put into his excellent web site, and to all the contributors for sharing locations & photographs.

RE: Ethan Allen's memorial
Did i ever answer this? I was talking about what it said under the photo. The person who wrote the bio doesn't do the corrections of what's written under photos, that's done by the person who posted the photo and wrote the original comment under it. That makes sense, right?

I can't remember what I commented on to suggest changing, and thank you for the definition of cenotaph. or however you say it. lol. Of course, I saw the word the very next day, in some other context!

RE: Ethan Allen's memorial
Thanks!
You didn't write the little comment under the photo? (It's not part of the bio.)

Usually when I post a photo, it is I who writes the comment under it.

So I thought you would be the one to correct it.

BTW. I read what it says on the state's base. It says "Ticonderoga."

Thanks for the definition, which I did get curious about and Googled it.

Ethan Allen's memorial
Hi, long ago you posted a photo on Ethan Allen's memorial and it has a spelling mistake in it which took me aback for a moment.

This is only his cenotaph, he is bruied nearby.

I wondered what to be "bruied" was, until I figured out it meant to say "buried." lol - maybe you could still fix it? (Plus I don't know what a cenotaph is.) I can't read what it says under the statue. Maybe you could include that. and any other info about where to find it.

Edward G. Robinson
Thank you so much for the photos of Mr. Robinson's grave. Although it may seem a bit morbid to many, I have a passion for those that I loved, and passed on. In fact, I have a passion for most whom have passed. I don't know if they can hear me, or sense my being. My of the famous folks I pay my respects to in this way. They were untouchable in life. I feel this way I may communicate what they meant to me. Even though I am surrounded by people, I am all alone. I relate better in this manner. Humphrey Bogart is still untouchable. I went to visit his grave site, and there was a guard, or attendant of sort that refused my admittance. He wouldn't even allow me to take a photograph. So I thought I'd stop by and give you my heartfelt thanks. I wish you well my friend!

John Pierpont Morgan & family
Hi,

I just found your photos of the Morgan familyʻs gravestones... they are distant cousins of mine. May I use the photos on my private family tree? I always give credit to the members who allow me to use their photos... thanks so much...

Regards,

re: Grave of Rocky Marciano
Would it be possible to use your picture of Mr. Marciano's grave to put on his wife, Barbara's website? There is no picture of the grave on his wife's site. Or you could add it yourself, if you would like. My only concern is that Mrs. Marciano has a picture of her grave on her memorial as well. Thank you, and God bless, and I adore the picture of the heart surgeon's grave. That is truly art.
