|Ralph Page||Van Petten/Van Pattens|
I stumbled on your correspondence to Phyllis Zegers. Myndert Van Patten is my 1st cousin 5 times removed.
There is an excellent source for that line available on Rootsweb/Ancestry here:
There are 100's of Van Petten/Pattens and you can trace back to Claas and fill in any gaps you might have. I also have a printed version of the data but it is not available any more. I believe that the current owner of the on-line database was working on a CD, you could contact him through the Rootsweb page.
Thank you so much for visiting Ralph and being a friend to him. In the end it is love that always wins out. God Bless.

No problem. You are quite welcome!

Sounds like we are 4th cousins. I got your note about the VanPetten/VanPatten line. Unfortunately I don't document my sources well so I can't even guess where I got this info - probably several sources.
Anyway my data shows: Claas Frederickse VanPetten (1641-1728) and Aeffie Arentise Bratt/Bradt (1649-1728) were our 7 x great grandparents. Their son (our 6 x great) was Nicholas "Claas" VanPetten (1690 - ?) who married Rebecca Groot (born 1692). Their son Nicholaas N. VanPetten (1716-1790) married his second cousin Sarah Clement (1724-1790). They were our 5 x great grandparents whose son was Arent Nicholas Van Patten (born 1764, died ?). Arent married Engeltje "Helen" LaGrange, his 3rd cousin once removed. Their son was Myndert Van Patten (1793-1861) who married Hannah Cooper (1796-1861). They had your great great grandfather Aaron and my great great grandfather John Coop VanPatten.
I have written short (2-3 pages) bios on Aaron, John Coop, and Claas (1641-1728). I'd be glad to share them via regular email if you write to me at email@example.com. I'd love to get you input & any corrections on my write-up of Aaron.
Who were the people in the line between you and Aaron VanPatten? My line is: Myndert VanPatten - John Coop VanPatten - Francis "Frank" VanPatten - Rachel (VanPatten) Porter - William Porter (my dad)... then me, Phyllis (Porter) Zegers. I live in Roseburg, Oregon.

You're welcome for the visits & I was happy to do it!
|Runner Mary||RE: Anna Schreiber|
Hi Mari, I am not related and just transferred them to you. The info came from this index "Riverside Cemetery Burials 1841 - 1908; an incomplete list" and unfortunately, I don't have any other info on them. Also on the plot is Constantine Nicolai who has a memorial that another lady created. I'm sure she'd transfer him if you ask. Wish I could help you more, but am happy you found your relatives! Mary
