I am a 7th generation Vermonter, and aside from seven years of my life, I have been rooted right here in Lamoille County, loving every minute of it.It is here that I was raised, married, reared five children, and worked. I have always had a natural love of history, and since my family reached adulthood & independent, I have spent many years researching my genealogy, studying my local history, developing a serious fondness of our Civil War veterans, their lives pre & post war, and where they have a final resting place.I can walk for hours around old cemeteries looking for a resting spot of anyone with a connection to my state; I will use town records if it appears no marker is present.I don't give up! This is my life, and will accept any request for my area, & and do all that is possible to locate a burial spot.Winters are harsh on us, so unless it's a photo I already have, we must wait 'till spring.
