Bio

My parents started my family tree when I was born in 1948. When I was born I had 4 great-grandparents and 4 grandparents. I lost 1 great-grandmother and 1 grandmother when I was 6 months old. I grew up knowing the other 6. Family has always been important to me. My Dad was interested in researching his family tree, but unfortunately, such tools were not readily available to him so I'm carrying on his search. My family has deep roots in Texas, Oklahoma (including Indian Territory), Arkansas, and Arizona.

The primary families I am researching include: McKillip, Jeffrey, Scott, Lovell, Cross, Wilson and for my husband: Thrift, Westmoreland, Morris -- all his people are from NC area.

I am happy to help anyone with their searches for family members I have listed. I'm in the process of putting my Family Tree Maker on Ancestry. It's a chore as I have "updated Version 3.0" which is really, really old. I'm having to make several jump thru the hoops to accomplish my goal. In the meantime, several other family members have been helping with connections. Many thanks!

When I'm taking photos of family markers, I also take photos of those near-by markers. So, if I have entered one of your family and you'd like to take over management, just let me know and I'll be happy to comply. My goal is to help reunite family members. Helping others as I have been helped. While I recognize the guidelines for transfer, I have no desire to keep families from their loved ones. Ask, if I'm not related, I'll be happy to transfer. I only ask you you follow the edit tab and list your number.

Some may question why I am managing more than I have originated. It's because I was asked to take some friends' sites since they were going to become inactive for one reason or another . . . Not because I'm "into numbers." Since a couple of folks have "blasted me" because of the o vs m numbers, I am posting my reason.
