|Corrib||Amendment to a record note|
Hi! John Kildoyle, buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Aug 1879: The date of arrival of the family into the USA, 17 July 1849, cannot be correct. John's sister, Eliza, was born in Schenectady, Feb 1849, and baptised 7 Apr 1849. Source: A History of St. George's Church in the City of Schenectady, vol Two (Parish Record of Baptisms, page 90). Willis T. Hanson Jr., vol Two, Schenectady 1919. I have been unable to find the family, including the children John, Margaret and Edward, in any passenger list. They may have come from Scotland through Canada, where records for that period are scant, to say the least. I hope you don't mind this message. Cormac.

|Ruth Hamilton||Losee Family|
I am researching my husband's Losee family from New York in the early 1800's. His gggrandfather was Samuel Losee and gggrandmother was Lydia but was not your Samuel and Lydia. We find our family in 1840 in Greenburgh, Westchester, N.Y. on the census and again in 1850 in AuxSable, Grundy, Ill. Samuel was in 1850 39 and Lydia was 36 with Mary b. 1831 in N.Y; William b. 1833, in N.Y. Thersa b. 1836 in N.Y.; George b. in 41 in Ill. and Maria b.1848 in Ill. We know the family finally made it to Iowa. In 1870 we find them in Pottawattame, Iowa. Samuel states he was born in Canada in 1811 and wife Lydia was born in Mass. in 1814. Do you have any Losee family in your research that would fit. I am looking for a connection in New York or Canada.
Thanks for your time.
|Simply Me||Elva Losee Jump|
I didn't want to send you unwanted transfers so I thought I would ask if you would like Elva Losee Jump # 161148690 transferred to you also. I am assuming that she is Obadiah Losee's daughter since she is on his gravestone. With Elva their is her husband, probably her 9 month old son and on the side of the grave probably her mother in law. You are more than welcome to these if you'd like them.

Many thanks for the transfers, John...

You are welcome. Sorry it took so long. When you deal with Cemetery Boards, time doesn't seem to be an issue for them! They sometimes don't evenmeet on a monthly schedule!
