Bio

My name is Jackie. In my early twenties, I was an assistant teacher in Altoona, Pa and helped in a Learning Disabilities Classroom when IEP's were first being written. It was a fun time. I moved to North Dakota and I went on to have three children and running a home daycare where I learned more about children! My interest in cemeteries was always there and I loved to read old stones and find out about my heritage. When my youngest son was six, I finished college and began my teaching career in special education and first grade. Every day was an adventure. I met many people not just the children, but the parents, grandparents, relatives, but I made many dear friends. During those years, I also worked a couple of years for Head Start. If I didn't have a family, I would have liked to have gone to Washington, to work on changes nationally, as Head Start needs an overhall. Now, I am a snowbird. Living part time in Florida and I am president of the Helping Hands Volunteers at The Bluffs. The other part of the year, I visit family, enjoy traveling, playing cards, enjoy my friends, like to walk, enjoy taking pictures in cemeteries and just want to enjoy life.
