I have been doing genealogy research for about a decade now, and really love this site. It is such a tremendous way to memorialize those that we love and care about, and to be able to help each other out with photos that we may never be able to take on our own. I live in the Erie, PA area, so if you need photos from here, and don't live in the area, let me know. I will see what I can do.

In the fall of 2014 I made sure that all of the veterans in the Erie Veteran's Memorial Cemetery (the former Sailor and Soldier's Home Cemetery) had a memorial, photo, and gps coordinates on Find A Grave. It took a few months to get it done, but I am glad that they are all on there. Now, I am working on sending edits to all of the other owners of these memorials so that they include the plot information, and birth data when I can find it.

Whenever I am in other cemeteries for photo requests, I always try to take a photo of at least a few of the veterans stones that are there in order to make sure that they too are memorialized.

So long as they are not relatives of mine, I am willing to transfer any memorials to anyone who is related to the deceased, regardless of number of generations, or direct descendancy. I would rather see the memorials be in the hands of those that have known and loved them., or at least have a connection to them.

Any photos that I take for this website may be used for any genealogical, or historical reason, but please remember to give me the credit for the photos.
