Bio

I am a member of the Col. Harry W. Camp #1388, Sons of Confederate Veterans in Baltimore, Maryland. Our Camp is currently conducting a cemetery restoration project called "Adopt a Confederate." This project has many goals. First and foremost, we want to place privately funded and specially designed granite markers at the graves of each veteran interred on "Confederate Hill," Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.

In addition to placing the grave markers, this project is designed to research the individual veterans to better tell their stories, locate descendants of the veterans and increase the community investment in "Confederate Hill," thereby helping to assure its long term preservation.

This project started in the fall of 2003. To date (summer of 2007), we have installed and dedicated 247 markers representing 258 veterans.

Please visit our project web site at http://www.toad.net/~steves/index for more information on the project, "Confederate Hill," and the veterans resting there.
