IF YOU ARE CONTACTING ME TO ADD A LARGE AMOUNT OF TEXT OR BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION TO A MEMORIAL, PLEASE REQUEST A TRANSFER OF THE MEMORIAL TO YOURSELF.

IF YOU UPDATE A MEMORIAL YOU MANAGE WITH INFORMATION I'VE SENT YOU, PLEASE DO NOT FEEL THAT YOU HAVE TO CREDIT ME IN THE MEMORIAL.

IF YOU SUBMIT CORRECTIONS TO ME ON MEMORIALS I MANAGE I WILL TRY TO GET TO THEM AS SOON AS I CAN, USUALLY WITHIN 2 DAYS.

REGARDING THE REPATRIATION OF U.S. WWI SERVICE MEMBERS' REMAINS: Many people do not realize that thousands of service members' remains were returned to the U.S between 1920 and 1922. If you find a service member who died in France or Germany during the war who is buried in the U.S. it's very possible that that individual's remains were repatriated.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT COOK COUNTY CEMETERY AT DUNNING: According to my understanding, some 35,000+ people are believed to have been buried there, including the indigent, orphans, homeless and mentally ill of Cook County. These folks were marginalized in life and in death, and their final resting place has been defiled and destroyed by construction. All that remains is a small "memorial park." There are some websites with information about this place and even lists of those buried there. The following website may be of interest to anyone researching this cemetery:

A few words about individual whose remains are listed as having been "donated to science" - In the late 1800s and early 1900s in Cook County, Illinois, the vast majority of these were not voluntary situations, but individuals whose remains were unclaimed from a hospital, institution, or the Coroner's office by a family member or friend. Many of the working poor and those estranged from family can be found among those whose remains were "donated to science."

PLEASE DO NOT ADD IMAGES OF DEATH CERTIFICATES OR COMMERCIAL IMAGES TO THE MEMORIALS I'VE CREATED.
