This set a example and Grave Law in all America!

His first bill he submitted, sponsored, and was passed was the Virginia Cemetery Bill, which forbade any destruction and/or plowing them under of them!

He alone saved the Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) from being becoming extinct when he was Chairman of Virginian Wildlife. Yes this is the Bird which the Country TURKEY attained that name. Tom, hen , and poults all.
Benjamin Franklin wanted this as our national Bird.

Laura Margaret Harvey
A lot of years have passed and I still am unable to find my great-grandmother's (Laura Margaret Harvey Sprouse) parents. I can find their names as Wilson Harvey and Lanny Harvey, which may be Lucinda Harvey or Larcena Harvy instead.
It's been suggested that Thomas Bland Harvey(Senior or junior) was her father and I cannot connect them.
Surely there is someone out there who knows who Laura's parents were. I'm told that her family was from Nelson County, VA and may have been instrumental in forming that county. Does anyone know anything about that ?
Regardless, I won't rest until I find Wilson & Lanny Harvey and would appreciate anybody's input. Thanks !

I also am a Mason and was very interested in seeing the Mason Square and Compasses on the memorial for Mathew Farrington, Sr

My research says that there were no lodges in the US during his life span. The earliest record of a lodge meeting I could find was in PA around 1715. The Grand Lodge of US was formed after the Rev war. There were, of course, lodges around.

So, I'd be very interested to know Mathew Farrington's Masonic history since it seems to embellish a time when there were few, if any, lodges in existence.

Fraternally,

Mr. DeMallie, I see you have placed a note on Mrs. Olive Giese Kidd's memorial. I am looking for her daughter, Sharon, because we graduated from high school the same year and I would like to contact her about a class reunion. Do you have any information on her? Thanks so much for all you do on Find-A-Grave.

Backer
Hi, you left a message on Arthur Backers memorial, I'm curious if Laura V Backer 1907 to 1964 was their daughter. I was very close to their daughter Katherine Backer Bouquio but can't recall if she told me about Laura. My hub doesn't know either. Katherine was his grandmother. Any help would be appreciated
