Bio

I live in Arkansas and am retired after working 21 years with AFLAC as an employee benefits specialist with my last year being in the position of Advisor.

Right now, researching my family history is my passion. My father's maternal side of our family is chronicled in the books "Hudlows In America" (revised addition by Charles C. Hudlow/1999) and "French and American History of Michael Garoutte and His Descendants". (revised by Ellan Douglas Thiesen/1985) These books can probably be found in the genealogy section of your library or at the Library of Congress.

Actually, all of the Hudlows in America descend from Andrew Hudlow, (Andreas Huttenloch) who was the very first Hudlow to come to America in 1753 from Germany.

My ancestor Michael Garoutte came here from France to fight for our colonies, financing his effort himself and bringing his own ships and men, in the American Revolution and all of the Garouttes in America descend from him.

Besides my HUDLOW and GAROUTTE lineages, I am, also, researching my ARNOLD, COBLER, SHOCKLEY, DUTY, SIMMONS, WHITLOCK, and ISSACKS lineages. My goal is to honor the memories of these family members who have now passed on.

This endeavor is dedicated in memory of my parents, William Adam (Bill) Arnold and Audrey May DUTY Arnold.
