|Willie Smith||Verne Miller's grave stone, Huron SD|
Dennis, May I use the photo of Verne Miller's gravestone at Riverside Cemetery in Huron, SD? I've written an article about his involvement in the Barker-Karpis gang, and I would love to use this photograph. I'll definitely give you full credit as the photographer. Thanks

1. What you know about the Black Gold Cemetery and where it is located.
This is very interesting to me as I've known about the Black Gold Festival
for many years now, but I have never before heard of a Black Gold Cemetery.
2. I have been trying to locate the Sizemore family--where they are buried.
I knew back when we lived in Hazard during WWII a young lady by the name
of Alberta Sizemore. She went with and married a Graham Combs. He was
killed on his way to work one morning in a car/train accident, leaving his
wife and 4 very small children. His youngest daughter was 4 month's old
at the time of his death and she is now trying to find her mother & father's
families. Can you help?

Hello Dennis, I have a Rufus (Gus) Lenoir Winkler that shows in my family tree. However I show he was born in North Carolina; you show a Gus Winkler who was a bank robber. I have a newspaper clipping of a Gus Winkler showing him in hosp in St Joseph saying he was injured in an auto accident w/John Moran; he was also friends with Fred (Killer) Burke; all of those names show up in your posting of Gus Winkler. do you have any other info on "your" Gus? Who his parents were? Anything would be helpful I tried to post the newspaper clipping but I cannot for some reason. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org

I don't know if you are still active on this site. If you are, do you have any info on the three graves pictured by Carmelo Frisina. I see the name Louisa Frisina that I assume is his wife. On the other side of him is a name I cannot make out. There are also two more to the side of Louisa.

The head gang member you named that went to prison in 1906 is William "Red" GIEBE, my husbands great grandfather. Do you have any further information on Red GIEBE? I know he served a five year sentence at Missouri State Prison for robbery charges but that was a fix by a MO senator so he wouldn't have to be tried on murder. He died in 1933. I would love to find a picture do him.

Hello Dennis, Its been awhile since I've been in touch, I hope all is well in your part of the world. Back in 2004 you put Dominic #9034023 on findagrave, I was wondering if you had another other pictures of Dom that you could put on or maybe some information about his killer etc so I could search for one. He was one of my first sponsorships and stole my heart and I have kind of adopted him.
Did you live in Okla.

This was my grandfather's uncle. There has been many stories about him passed down from generation to generation, but I can't find any information online about him other than what's on Find a Grave? Would you happen to have any or know a good place to look?

I wrote a note on here under my friend's name. Earlier today I joined findagrave. This is the man who shot & killed my Great Aunt Minnie Gotthardt. Hope he made peace with God. What a sad life he had. Thanks for posting the photo...
it's nice to see a face to the story that I was told....
